Mr. Chad Serrao, B.Eng., B.Phil.

Chad Serrao is an undergraduate in the materials science and engineering department. Before he was inspired to pursue a career in engineering he majored in philosophy at UCLA with an emphasis in ethics and political philosophy. Although his academic study of philosophy is done, he hopes his philosophy background will make him a more socially conscious scientist and engineer. His interests in material science are broad, but he holds a particular enthusiasm for materials as they relate to space exploration and sustainable technology.
